Good Friday

Thursday April 17, 2014
Good-Friday-Cross.png

Good Friday occurs two days before Easter Sunday in the United States. It is the day when Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which plays an important part in the Christian faith. It is not a federal holiday in the United States, although it is a state holiday in some of the 50 states.

Good Friday is another day at work for many Americans, as it is not a national holiday but some people choose to take a day off work and have a long "Spring Break" weekend. Working or not, let us not forget what this day stands for.

For more information and the clip art, visit Good Friday.

From time-to-time I like to feature other artists that create clip art. Andy Nortnik is a very interesting fellow that not only creates great clip art but he is also a sculptor.

National Library Week

Friday April 11, 2014
Clip Art for National Library Week

National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and by local libraries across the country every year during the month of April. This year we celebrate this great occasion April 13-20, 2014. The 2014 theme for National Library Week is "Lives change @ your library."

School and public libraries open up new worlds, spark imagination, encourage reading, help develop critical thinking and prepare and support kids and teens in school and life. And, most of the materials and programs available at your library are free...so start enjoying what they have to offer.

For more information and the clip art, visit National Library Week.

Scrabble Day

Tuesday April 8, 2014
National Scrabble Day Clip Art

Each year, on April 13, we celebrate the popular word game, Scrabble®. Folks have been enjoying the game Scrabble® ever since Alfred M. Butts invented it back in 1938.

The popular Words With Friends game is based scrabble. That game has no physical board and tiles, the game is played electronically but I say you could also play a game of "Words With Friends" to celebrate Scrabble Day.

For more information and the clip art, visit Scrabble Day.
