Almost everyone knows what happens on December 24... but do you know what they do in Sweden on December 23? In Sweden, December 23 is when many families and friends get together and celebrate "Lille Julaften" (Little Christmas Eve.) They wrap little presents and write rhymes to put with the gifts. The rhymes are supposed to give clues about what's inside the package. This is also the day most people decorate their Christmas Tree.
Little Christmas Eve is also celebrated in Denmark, Norway and most of the Scandinavian countries
