Definition: The terms, conditions and circumstances that the author or artist defines for their created clip art work and is normally called the terms of usage statement.
The terms of usage statement may be as simple as a request for an email if you use the clip art or may be as complex as requiring use of a specific logo, a link back to a specific page, credit given to the author or artist on each page that the clip art is used, exclusions for various types of usage including Web collections, commercial and adult sites, stationery, desktop publishing applications, etc.
