The Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center, with only one full time employee, Coordinator Sandy Cate, plus part time volunteers, rehabilitate and care for injured wildlife until they can be retuned to their native habitats. Sadly, many wild animals and birds, etc., are so badly injured they can never be returned to the wild. They are cared for by the Wildlife Center and by dedicated volunteers and are used in educational programs.

At any one time, the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center may be caring for many types of local wildlife: deer, owls, hawks, falcons, etc., plus confiscated exotic wildlife. Strict Arizona laws prohibit keeping wild animals as pets.
