What You Need to Know Before Creating Clip Art

How to Download Clip Art

Create ladybug clip art using ovals, lines, and color. You will need a paint program or graphics software program capable of copy and paste, with the option of doing shapes (ovals or circles), and the ability to draw a straight or diagonal line. It would also help if your program has a mirror option and a rotate option.

Step One
Draw an oval for the body of the ladybug. Use your oval shape tool in the outline mode.

Step Two
Use the line tool to draw a black line through this oval.

Step Three
Use the oval or circle option to draw a small circle and place several of these circles in the body of your ladybug.

Step Four
Draw a larger circle for the ladybug head. Use your brush and white to delete part of the circle.

Step Five
Copy and paste this partial circle on the ladybug body.

Step Six
Use the fill or paint tool to color the ladybug black and red.

Step Seven
Use the line tool to draw small diagonal lines on the ladybug head and add tiny circle of black to the end of each diagonal line.

Step Eight
Save your ladybug image. The copy just the top half of your ladybug and paste it as a new image.

Step Nine
Use the line tool or your paint brush to add three small legs.

If you have the mirror option, you could mirror both ladybugs to have four separate clip art images to use on your Web pages or projects.
