Each year during the third week of July, we celebrate National Zoo Keeper Week. The need to protect and preserve our wildlife and vanishing habitats has increased. A zookeeper is an educator and wildlife ambassador in addition to their duties of caring for the animals. They work long hard hours and just like the postman, come rain, shine, sleet or hail nothing will keep them from all of those mails, oops I mean tails! If you live near a zoo, why not plan a family outing... go to the zoo during Zookeepers Week to show your thanks and support for the keepers.
