Animated Clip Art

Learn why you cannot see animated clip art after you download it.

Animated clip art is downloaded the same way you would download any static clip art, photo, or image. With the Internet Explorer browser, place your cursor over the animated clip art, right click on the mouse, and choose Save Picture As.

Where to use Animated Clip Art

You can only use animated images with a program that can "see" and "show" the individual images that makes the clip art appear to move. Animated clip art that you will find on the Internet has been created to be used on the Web because most Web browsers, such and IE and Netscape can "see" and show the individual images that make up the animation.

If you use animated clip art in a program that cannot see the individual clip art images your program will only show ONE of the sequence of images and will not see movement or animation.

Why Can't I See The Animated Clip Art?

Trying to see Web animation with a program that cannot see or show it would be like trying to show Super 8mm camera film, or 16mm camera file on a slide projector. The slide projector cannot deal with, or see, or show animated images and you would only see one non-moving image of all the images that make up the movement. Animated images are created to be used and seen by a program or a Web browser that has the capability to see movement and/or multiple frames.
